John, I'm Jaime Harrison, a Democrat doing something many thought impossible: I'm taking on Sen. Lindsey Graham in South Carolina - and I can flip this seat.

A new poll has our race tied - and, in a second, I'm going to ask you to pitch in before our midnight fundraising deadline. We can send Graham home. And I hope that you'll give me a chance to explain why that and this deadline are so important.

I'm running because Lindsey Graham has taken a hard-right turn, sabotaging our health care and blindly embracing every piece of Donald Trump's agenda. Graham is turning a blind eye to the struggles of the rural communities like mine that are being left behind - not just here in South Carolina, but around the country.

As a proud, lifelong South Carolinian, I'm ready to fight for the people of the Palmetto State because we deserve better. My grandparents told me, "You work hard, Jaime, you help others and you give back like so many have done for you." I'm no superhero, but I'm willing to be the bold voice for decency my family taught me to be. Catherine thought that I should share my story and ask you personally to help me send Lindsey Graham home.

So I'm asking, John: Will you give $5, $10 today - anything you can spare - to help me beat Lindsey Graham in South Carolina and flip the Senate blue for Democrats? Nothing short of health care for millions and the Supreme Court is on the line - and I can't do this without you.

Here's the hard truth: We can't afford a single second more - let alone six more years - of Lindsey Graham's moral failings. He is doing everything he can to repeal the Affordable Care Act - all while South Carolina hospitals are closing and 540,000 constituents are uninsured. He's abetting D.C. corruption instead of fighting for South Carolinians who need a champion in Washington.

But John, we've got a tough fight ahead. This race will be the most expensive in South Carolina's history. What we do now will decide whether or not we stop Lindsey Graham, flip the Senate blue and protect everything from our health care to the future of the Supreme Court.

Democrats like Stacey Abrams are changing perceptions of the South: We know that when we organize early, make critical investments and register voters - we have a chance to win on Election Day. But
to win this historic election, we need historic investments.
