John, Donald Trump is holding a private fundraiser in Orange County this weekend at a tech mogul's estate—with tickets going up to $150,000 if you'd like a photo with the president.
It's no doubt that this dangerous in-person event is going to rile up his base here in Southern California and garner huge support for both his campaign and other Republican candidates in our area.
Remember, my district is one of the most Republican districts held by a Democrat in the country—so we need to do everything we can to turn out more voters who will keep this district blue and make sure Joe Biden is elected.

It's awful enough that Trump is hosting an in-person fundraising event quickly after recovering from COVID-19 while he stalls on giving relief to the American people who are battling this pandemic. And to come to our state asking wealthy supporters for large checks just after tweeting "California is going to hell" is really, well, rich.
While Trump presumably promises tax cuts to his wealthy supporters and peddles more lies at this event, Joe Biden and I are going to continue to campaign on the issues that matter the most to working people.
But it takes real resources to cut through the conservative noise, compete against the GOP machine, and get our message out there, and time is running out before Election Day.
