Hi John

PLEASE JOIN US IN TAKING ACTION ON WORLD POPULATION DAY BY ADDING YOUR
VOICE TO OUR NEW PETITION.

The United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals [3] (SDGs) aim to
achieve decent lives for all on a healthy planet. Unfortunately, the world
is not on track to meet many of them by 2030.

Global population growth means overexploitation of natural resources,
environmental destruction and unsustainable demand for land, food, water
and energy. In addition, not being able to choose their family size traps
the poorest in poverty.

TO MEET THE SDGS, THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY MUST TACKLE POPULATION,
ETHICALLY AND EFFECTIVELY.

We're excited to launch our new petition [4] urging UN Secretary General
António Guterres to recognise the urgency of addressing unsustainable
human population growth to have a reasonable chance of meeting the SDGs.
We're calling on him to promote positive, empowering measures to allow and
encourage people to choose smaller families.

Please add your voice - international agreement on the need to tackle
population issues is urgent and essential:
