Hi John,

Each Sunday I try to take a step back to gauge the bigger picture of our race.

I reflect on what's worked well and what hasn't. I consider the stakes of another two years under Zeldin's "leadership" and what it would mean for Suffolk County families. I take stock of what we need to do in the closing days of the campaign. Then, I dive back into the work we have left.

Our campaign has always looked different than Zeldin's. For instance, I just saw that he's got his tour bus on the campaign trail again. His campaign strategy is right out of the president's playbook, funded by the most sinister GOP donors across the country. In his attack ads, he's still calling me a "radical" scientist. He’s spreading baseless lies, using fear tactics, in an attempt to paint an alternate reality and to drive voters to the polls.

The reality is that Lee Zeldin has been in the pocket of corporate PACs and his wealthy far-right donors for so long that he's lost touch with the families he was elected to serve. He reaps the benefits of super PAC dark money and major contributions from ExxonMobil, Chevron, the Koch brothers, the NRA, the insurance industry, and other big money groups. We know that, if we can't stop him, Lee Zeldin will continue to do what it takes to keep these groups happy.

D.C. politics is broken, and it's time we elect leaders who will lead based on the facts, not based on who is filling their campaign coffers. In Congress, you can count on me to fight back against corruption and to work for you and our communities.

On this campaign, we don't take corporate PAC money. Our entire effort has been funded by people like you who are ready to hold both Lee Zeldin and Donald Trump accountable. And that's something I'm really proud of.

We know what we need to do in order to win our race, but we also know national Republicans will do whatever it takes to try to protect their far-right darling Lee Zeldin. With your continued support, we can fight back and win this race, but the next 16 days will be hard -- and they're going to go quickly.
