John,
When I joined the Navy at just 17 years old, I had no idea where my decision would take me.
I didn't know that I would make history as one of the first women to serve the entirety of her career on combatant ships, or that I would eventually command a combat-ready unit of 400+ sailors -- I just knew that I wanted to give back, to be a part of something bigger than myself.
But that's exactly how change happens. Everyday people, like you and me, who make the choice to take action and do what they can to make the world a better place, one step at a time.
And that's how this team defied the odds and flipped this district in 2018. It was all of us, deciding that we wanted to fight for the honest, accountable representation we deserved and putting everything we had into making it happen.
We're up against an even bigger fight this time around -- I'm facing a rematch against former Republican Congressman Scott Taylor, and he and his GOP allies will spend millions to defeat me.
So John, I'm asking you to join me once again to stand up for the people of VA-02 -- I need 52 grassroots donors to chip in to our campaign by midnight to stay on track to defend this seat >>

I ran for Congress for the same reason I joined the Navy -- to give back and help build a safer, stronger, and fairer society for this generation and the next.
I'm not giving up on the fight. And I know you won't either.
Thank you for your support,
Elaine Luria
