Dear John,
Cheryl Gross' mother, Nadine, passed
away from Alzheimer's in 2011, after living with the disease for a
decade.
Like millions of people across
America, Cheryl experienced the anguish of losing someone she loved
dearly to Alzheimer's. "Everyone seems to know someone who has
been affected by this disease," she says. "And when you hear
the stories - the pain they are going through - you just
have to get involved."

Many of us know someone who is, or has
been, a caregiver in this fight.
John, this
year, those impacted by Alzheimer's face even greater challenges than
before, as COVID-19 poses a deadly threat to managed care settings,
affecting not only people living with Alzheimer's but their caregivers
and families as well. We responded urgently with outreach and
advocacy, but there's much more we must do. Today, our $100,000
October Matching Gift Challenge the opportunity to provide care and
support resources and to advance critical research, so please make
your first gift now to join us in the fight against Alzheimer's. We
have to strive to support caregivers with the resources and
information they need, and help keep them from feeling isolated or
alone.
