Our team wrote to you earlier today about Donald Trump’s impending visit to Orange County. Well, as Gil’s Campaign Manager, let me personally tell you: I didn’t see this coming.
Republican special interests and national GOP donors have already poured millions into Southern California in a coordinated effort to undo the progress we achieved with last cycle’s blue wave. But with every curveball thrown, we’ve recommitted ourselves to our path to victory -- and, John, we’ve been able to, because we’ve had the requisite funding to do so.
But there’s no telling how much money Donald Trump’s visit is going to indirectly inject into Gil’s opponent’s campaign. So I’m asking you personally, John to step up right now when it matters most and rush a donation of any amount to our campaign to help us fight back even harder.

John -- this isn’t a drill: In 24 hours, Donald Trump and the Republican National Committee are hosting an in-person, high-dollar campaign fundraising event right in our backyard.
This type of event signals to Trump’s huge network of national Republican donors and GOP special interests to pour money into Orange County in an attempt to influence the results of this election. And, frankly, John, we weren’t expecting even more national money flooding into our district on behalf of Gil’s Trump Republican opponent.
