Hey John -- we're in the final stretch of the closest Senate race in the entire country and I wanted to take a moment to share what's been on my mind.

When we launched this campaign last year, many people wrote us off. They thought this scrappy farm girl wouldn't have what it takes to stand up to Senator Joni Ernst and Mitch McConnell and flip this Senate seat.

To be honest, I was nervous, too. Growing up on my family farm, I never thought I'd run for Senate. And I knew it would be a tough fight. But I've been knocked down a few times in my life -- so I'm no stranger to a tough fight. So when Senator Ernst threatened to gut Social Security "behind closed doors," I said no way, and I got in this race.

And now thanks to this grassroots team, our race is TIED in the polls. Election experts from FiveThirtyEight to Cook Political Report moved this race to toss up. And it's all because of your support.

But coming close isn't good enough, especially when the future of Social Security, affordable health care, and rebuilding our economy is on the line. We need to flip this seat and take back the Senate majority.

Our team is fighting tooth and nail to reach every voter we can from now until Election Day -- over the airwaves, online, and over the phone. We're leaving no stone unturned, but it isn't cheap. That's why it's more important than ever that we keep our fundraising on track in these final weeks to turn this toss up race into a win.

I'll be honest, we still have a tough road ahead of us. McConnell and his allies are spending over $75 MILLION in nasty, false attacks to defeat this grassroots team. They're willing to do and spend whatever it takes to win.

I don't accept a dime of corporate PAC money, but I have something better -- this grassroots team.
