AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR
ORANGE COUNTY REPUBLICANS
I want to share with you some tough news - we are trailing the Democrats in ballot returns. Our team is tracking voter turnout daily and the Democrats are outvoting us.
Make no mistake the momentum and enthusiasm are on our side. We hear it from you through the hundreds of calls and emails sent to our office every single day. But what we also hear is Republican voters are holding on to their ballots to vote in person because you don’t trust voting by mail.
I want to assure you that voting by mail or by dropping off your ballot in Orange County is safe and secure.
I agree with you and President Trump that California’s approach of sending a live ballot to every voter is flawed and ripe for fraud. That is why we are working with the California Republican Party on the Protect the Vote project to ensure a fair election.
I am disturbed by headlines across the country that shake our confidence in free and fair elections. Orange County is not Los Angeles or Pennsylvania. The current voting system in Orange County is the exact same system as it was in the March primary where Republicans matched Democrat turnout without a competitive primary.
The Orange County Registrar of Voters and Neal Kelly has our full confidence that your ballots will be received and counted.
I understand your frustration and your hesitance. But this election is too important to risk Republicans waiting until Election Day. If we wait to turn out we are risking taking back the House of Representatives, making gains in the state legislature and risk losing our cities to socialist Democrats who want to raise your taxes, shut down Orange County and defund our police.
Your ballot is the only thing stopping us from losing Orange County for good. We need you to vote now. Voting early allows us to use our resources on the Independent and No Party Preference voters we need to win.
Below we have outlined your options for voting safely and securely in this election. I hope you’ll help us take back Orange County by voting early!
Sincerely,
Hon. Fred M. Whitaker
Chairman, Republican Party of Orange County
