Our democracy is being tested like never before. With less than 20 days left until Election Day, I can't emphasize this enough: Democrats have to take back the Senate - and that means we must win in Georgia.

When I served as attorney general in the Obama Administration, President Obama and I worked together to fight for a nation where equality under the law wasn't just a principle, but a reality.

But the Trump-McConnell era has threatened to turn back the clock on every single one of our progressive accomplishments. This November, we can restore our democracy by electing moral leaders who will fight for progress and fight against the unjust status quo.

Reverend Raphael Warnock (D), a pastor and civil rights leader who's running a historic Senate race in Georgia, will be one of those leaders. He has dedicated his life to serving others - and if elected, he would be Georgia's first-ever Black senator. Today, I'm proud to endorse Reverend Warnock.

With The Washington Post reporting that a win in Georgia is key to Democrats' chances of reclaiming the Senate majority, the GOP is pouring millions into this battleground race to crush Reverend Warnock's momentum. He needs our urgent help to fight back: Will you give $5 or more right now to help him flip Georgia blue and take back the Senate for Democrats?

Over the past four years, Mitch McConnell's Republican majority has wreaked havoc on our democratic principles while the most important issues of our time - from affordable health care to voting rights - go unaddressed.

These aren't normal elections, friend. As we speak, McConnell is doing everything in his power to confirm yet another far-right nominee to the Supreme Court, while he obstructs a COVID relief bill and voter empowerment measures. This race in Georgia could determine not only the future of the Senate, but also the future of our most fundamental rights.

Reverend Warnock is the strong leader Democrats need to flip Georgia blue and take back the Senate from Mitch McConnell. But recent polls show him running neck and neck with his Republican opponent, and if he doesn't raise another $25,000 by midnight, he could fall behind and lose this race. So please, I'm personally asking:

Please, friend, will you give $5 or more now - before the crucial midnight deadline - to help Reverend Warnock reach his goal, take back the Senate for Democrats and protect the future of the Supreme Court?
