Aloha Fellow Republicans,
Like so many of you, I can remember exactly where I was the moment the first plane crashed into the first of the twin towers that tragic September 11th morning 18 years ago. It was a moment that time stood still for so many of us.
Today may we re-affirm our commitment to always remember the innocent men, women, and children who died in one of the worst attacks in our nation's history. And today we offer our endless gratitude to the first responders who rushed to the scene and our military men and women who answered our nation's call to fight extremism and defend our way of life.
It was truly a tragic day in history. But I choose to remember that the attacks of 9/11 exemplified that sometimes the worst events often bring out the best in people. I remember in the immediate aftermath the selflessness of so many, the heroism of our fist responders, and how infinite acts of individual kindness brought us together like no other time in my memory. Please consider life's brevity today and tell your loved ones you love them.
As threats against our people and our way of life persist, may God watch over our country, our Commander-in-Chief, and the brave men and women who continue to protect us both at home and abroad. Mahalo ke Akua.
God Bless all of you and God Bless the United States of America.
In your service,
SHIRLENE D. OSTROV
Chairman
