Dear friend,

I’d like to keep my focus on the community. There are far too many
problems in CA-34, poverty and homelessness among them, for me to be
distracted by the games that my opponent is trying to play.
Unfortunately, too many constituents have come to me worried about
messaging they received from my opponent that suggested he was
endorsed by a certain major progressive senator from Vermont.
For clarity’s sake, Jimmy Gomez was not endorsed by Bernie Sanders
in this 2020 #CA34 race. You can ask his office to verify this. They
will have to confirm the truth.

I don’t want to harp on this. There are too many real priorities for
this city, too many real issues that need compassion, creativity, and
passion if we’re to solve them. We have an incumbent in Jimmy Gomez
who’s taken money from private prisons, police unions, and
pharmaceutical companies. Our community has suffered for too long
while he fills his campaign war chest.

I want to keep my focus on my community. I want to serve my community.
That is why I will never mislead my community, and will always fight
for truthful representation.

I will represent this district honestly. I will put my community
first. And I will build them a floor to stand on

Can you say the same of my opponent?

With all my heart,
David Kim
