Dear John,

I want to share some updates with you from my campaign and around the country as Election Day draws nearer. Here are three things you need to know.

1. Next Friday, October 23, I am proudly presenting the headline address at the Veterans Caucus Virtual Rally. I am blessed to represent thousands of veterans in Georgia’s 2nd District and to speak about the changing needs of our troops, veterans, and military families in this time of coronavirus and political change. The event will take place safely over Zoom and will be followed by veteran-led phone banking. Visit the event page here for more details: [link removed].

2. I am happy to announce that my team has launched a new advertisement to promote my campaign for reelection. In the video, I discuss my priorities, faith, and experience, and I humbly ask to continue serving you in Washington. Click here to watch: [link removed].

3. Today marks 18 days until the end of the 2020 election. Early voting began in Georgia this week, where I was moved to see such impressive turnout but disheartened to see thousands of voters, once again primarily African American, waiting in ten-hour lines to cast a ballot. I urge the state to take a strong stand in favor of voting rights, but in the absence of change, we must make change ourselves.

Here are a few voting tips:

- Every registered voter in Georgia can request an absentee ballot by visiting ballotrequest.sos.ga.gov. This is a good option to reduce wait times and exposure to crowds.

- To find your polling place and early voting locations, you can visit mvp.sos.ga.gov/MVP/mvp.do.

- October 24, one week from tomorrow, is the only Saturday that will offer in-person voting across the state of Georgia.

- For comprehensive, easily understandable information, please visit iwillvote.com. This site is an excellent resource for voting information in all 50 states and DC.

- Above all, please vote. I do not need to express the high stakes of this election; it is abundantly clear that we must take our protest to the polls and win.

With thousands of ballots being cast every day, our campaign for health care, jobs, and civil rights in Georgia needs to operate as if each day is Election Day. Campaigning at full intensity for 18 days requires a lot of resources, as you might imagine, so I must ask you: Can you make a small campaign contribution today to support our get-out-the-vote efforts in rural Georgia?

Contribute any amount: [link removed]

Thank you for reading my updates and for all of your support. Stay well, enjoy your weekend, and know that I am working hard for you.

Sincerely,
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr.
