Energy Innovation Act now has 62 House members signed on

Congress may have been on recess last month, but our California groups obviously weren’t taking any time off. Two Golden State Democrats, Rep. Katie Hill and Rep. Brad Sherman, are the latest House members to cosponsor the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act. There are now 62 backers for the bipartisan bill.

Sherman, who represents California’s 30th District, sits on Foregin Affairs, one of the committees of jurisdiction for H.R. 763.

If you’re on Twitter, show your appreciation for our newest cosponsors!

Media: St. Louis op-ed speaks to rep

When St. Louis CCL volunteer Tim Ely was invited to submit an op-ed to the Post-Dispatch, he used the opportunity to speak directly, in the CCL way,  to his representative:

“Rep. Ann Wagner, R-Ballwin, has championed causes with bipartisan support such as anti-sex trafficking legislation and paid family leave. Her leadership is now needed on a bipartisan solution to rein in climate change. By cosponsoring H.R. 763, Rep. Wagner can help place our nation on a path to avoid the catastrophic impact that lies ahead in a climate-altered world. Future generations will thank her for such leadership.”
