Fight for $15

**************************
John --

I dream of being a nurse someday. But making $10 an hour as a home health care aide meant I had to choose between rent and school -- so I had to drop out.

Now, the Trump administration wants to make it even EASIER for corporations to classify workers like me as independent contractors -- cheating us of a minimum wage, benefits, and overtime.

I'm barely getting by during this pandemic as is, and this new rule would make it even harder for me and other essential workers to survive. We've still got a chance to stop it.

Send a message: tell the Department of Labor to stop making it easier for corporations to cheat workers of wages and benefits. [[link removed]]

If the Department of Labor implements this proposed rule it could give employers far more leeway in classifying their workers as independent contractors. For workers like me, that could mean:

- Having to work more than 40 hours a week without overtime pay.

- Getting paid below the minimum wage -- which remains a sorry $7.25 nationwide.

- Not having access to benefits like health care, retirement, and more.

It's bad enough we have to fight to get adequate PPE and paid sick leave. Now they want to take away our right to be employees too?

Don't let Trump roll back what we've fought for! Tell the Department of Labor to REJECT proposals that would make it easier for corporations to classify workers as independent contractors. [[link removed]]
