John,

When you hear pundits and politicians talk about fundraising numbers, usually it’s a lot of white noise. It’s about the horse race and fuels more partisan bickering, ugly attack ads, and lies. But to be honest, who (or what) donates to your campaign does matter. Is it working people? Is it hedge fund managers? Is it 5 bucks or $5,600?

We’re proud of who donates to our grassroots campaign. We’ve said no to corporate PACs and even money from the DCCC, but we’ve said yes to contributions from folks in all 39 counties of our district. That’s because we put our money (literally) where our mouth is. J.D. is accessible and accountable to the people. It’s why he’s driven Sioux City Sue over 7,786 miles the past two months to visit all 374 towns in the district, talking with families on the farm, touring small businesses, stopping into grain elevators, and much more.

But who donates to Feenstra? Well, he’s taken hundreds of thousands in contributions from corporations like Chinese-owned Smithfield, Koch Industries, and Blue Cross/Wellmark. He’s even accepted over $50,000 from Ted Cruz who’s been laser-focused on dismantling the Renewable Fuels Standard, which creates over 48,000 jobs in Iowa and generates over $5 billion for the state economy.

But really? $50,000 from Ted Cruz? Is that the message we want to send to farmers and families across Iowa? We don’t think so. Let’s see what people power can do. If you can, chip in $5 or more and let’s see if we can match Ted Cruz’s $50,000.

You’ve heard this from J.D. before, but it’s true. We’re creating a coalition of farmers, workers, and consumers -- and that’s who we’re proud to fight for.

We need you to stand with our farmers right now, John. We’re up against big, corporate interests, but we know the power of our team is stronger than they’ll ever be. So let’s show them. Can you chip in $5, or whatever you can, to match Ted’s $50,000?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thanks, John.
