Send a letter to your local newspaper to #SaveTransit

John,

Over 3 million households could lose reliable public transportation service if Congress doesn’t fund transit agencies. Even if you don't use transit, your neighbors likely do. Black and Brown communities, students, and seniors rely on transit the most. Unless Congress acts, they’ll be hardest hit by cutbacks.

The good news is that the House of Representatives has heard our unified call to save transit. The latest #HEROESAct passed with $32 Billion to #SaveTransit. But the Senate has failed to take any real action.

We need more Senators to step up for workers & riders and pass $32 billion for transit, John.  Last week, we joined riders across the country in the #TrustRidersFundTransit Day of Action demanding Congress keep riders, workers, and the economy moving. Now, we need your voice. One way to put pressure on our Senators is through the media. That’s why we’re asking you to send a letter directly to the editor of your local newspaper, making a case for why your Senator needs to #SaveTransit.

We've created a quick and easy tool for you to send a letter to your local and regional newspapers' editor. Can you take a few minutes to send a letter urging your Senator to keep transit running for frontline workers and riders in Washington?

Do you depend on public transit? Are you nervous that service will be cut in your neighborhood or that people in your community may lose their jobs as a result? Send a letter to the editor with our easy to use tool and urge your Senator to commit to #SaveTransit.

Even if you don’t ride transit, you can help ensure our communities are not left stranded.

Thanks for all you do,
