Brian Mast is a conservative Congressman from Florida’s 18th Congressional District. Before that, he followed in his father’s footsteps and enlisted in the U.S. Army. During his service, he worked under the elite Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) as a bomb disposal expert. Working under JSOC meant fighting at the tip of the spear in the ongoing war against radical Islamic terrorism.
Being a bomb technician in this high level of special operations also came with a great responsibility. Brian’s task was protecting his fellow soldiers from the war’s most deadly weapon, the improvised explosive device. The very last bomb he found resulted in catastrophic injuries, which included the loss of both of his legs.
But he refused to let his injury stop him from serving our country. He learned to walk again, went back to school at Harvard and then ran for Congress to continue protecting the freedoms he lost his legs defending in Afghanistan.
This service before self mentality doesn’t sit well with Nancy Pelosi. She prefers loyal lapdogs who will do whatever she says whenever she says it, but Brian refuses to bend his metal knees to her!
