Congress needs to secure our votes!

Mitch McConnell has been blocking election security bills in the Senate in return for voting machine lobbyist campaign cash and partisan advantage. He’s refusing to allow votes on critical bills despite overwhelming evidence that electronic voting machines can be hacked and that our system is under assault. 

That’s why we’re sponsoring a national day of action to demand Senators stand up to McConnell and do what’s right! Will you join in and make your voice heard?

What: National #SecureOurVotes day of action

When: This coming Tuesday, Sept. 17

Why: Because every vote must be counted

The actions will be citizen press conferences or rallies to make our voices heard. When you sign up to join or host an event, you’ll be provided with resources to plan an action and make it successful. The basic idea is that anyone should be able to help out - no prior experience is needed!

Because of popular outcry, we have a chance to pass real election security reform. The House recently passed HR 2722, which would allocate $600 million to secure our elections by replacing election machines with paper ballots. Paper ballots are the best protection against cyberattacks attempting to change the outcome of our elections, and the Senate has until October 1st to act on the bill passed by the House.

That's why we must act now to make sure Senators know we mean business. 

By taking action before October 1st we’ll put Senators on notice: Stand up to McConnell and secure our votes, or be held accountable.
