Voting lines of over 10 hours in Georgia with disaster relief nonprofits cooking food for voters.
Only one ballot drop box for 4.7 million people in Harris County, Texas.
Illegal, unauthorized ballot drop boxes set up by Republicans meant to confuse voters in California.
The sitting President of the United States recruiting an “army” of poll watchers.
This is what voter suppression looks like in our country today, and it is unacceptable.
Voting is one of our most fundamental rights as Americans, and we cannot tolerate anyone — from the government to partisan operatives or anyone else — trying to interfere with that right.
In August, I sued the Trump administration for meddling with the USPS in an attempt to slow down mail-in voting, which the President believes will cost him the election.
We won, and the USPS reversed the changes they had made — but many Americans lost trust in mail-in voting.
Now we’re weeks away from Election Day, and millions of Americans have cast their votes by mailing in ballots, dropping them off personally, or standing in very long lines to vote in person.
No one should have to jump through this many hoops to vote. In a true democracy, we should be encouraging participation in our elections instead of making it harder.
Thank you again for your support.
Onward,
