Hello John,

NPH is pleased to announce that registration is now open for our first-ever virtual Fall Gala!

This celebration will be an opportunity for us to kick back and relax while coming together to honor some very special Bay Area housers, who’ve gone above and beyond to advance housing and racial justice in our region this year. Our Fall Gala is being held in lieu of our postponed Awards event.

Each year, we recognize those who’ve not only worked to strengthen our affordable housing movement, but have taken the lead with innovation, collaboration, and inclusiveness, as well as empowered their communities. This year, we hope you’ll join us in honoring:

  • Linda Gardner, Public Sector Award: For the last 30 years, Linda has led the Alameda County Housing and Community Development Department in making a significant impact in affordable housing development and ending homelessness.

  • ELPN, Building the Future Award: Since 2014, the Steering Committee of the Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN) has worked on a volunteer basis to organize professional development trainings, technical trainings, and networking events for young and emerging affordable housing professionals.

  • Don Stump, Lifetime Achievement Award: For over 50 years, Don Stump of Christian Church Homes has fought for affordable housing at the local, regional, and state levels and has been committed to providing affordable quality housing to low-income households.

There’s More! In addition to the awards ceremony, we’ll also take time to acknowledge the critical work of Affordable Housing direct services staff as essential workers during the era of COVID 19. These front line workers continue to work to ensure that people stay housed and healthy, as well as supporting them to use their voices to push for housing justice. We’ll also recognize BAHIP (Bay Area Housing Internship Program), which has inspired organizations to lean into the critical work of racial equity and inclusion, an increasingly urgent call among recent racial justice uprisings.

Finally, we’ll be enjoying some excellent live performances from Bay Area musicians and artists!

Your Support Is Key: Your ticket, as well as any donations to NPH, are opportunities for you to honor and advance the affordable housing community and movement that this event lifts up and celebrates.

Reserve your spot now!
