Sara Gideon WON last night’s debate.
Senator Collins couldn't defend her record of trying to gut the Affordable Care Act, and she AGAIN refused to tell Mainers the truth about her support for Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, Sara talked about her plan to protect and expand access to affordable health care, and gave direct and honest answers about the issues that matter most to Maine families. We got a strong response on social media from voters who were watching the debate in real time.
It was a great night for our campaign BUT the more Susan Collins struggles, the more money Mitch McConnell will pour into Maine to try and save her campaign and buy this Senate seat for Republicans.
So here comes the part where we ask:
We can’t let McConnell and his army of ultra-wealthy donors stop our momentum with their money. Control of the Senate is at stake and Maine is a must-win state for Democrats.
