Friend – it just doesn’t end.

First, we were disgusted by the hypocrisy when Tommy Tuberville said $600/week was “way too much” for those who lost their job due to COVID-19 , while he accepted a $5 million dollar buy-out for quitting his Auburn coaching job.

Then, we were shocked that while his hedge fund defrauded real people and families of their retirement savings, he had the audacity to call himself the “victim.”

Now, we learned that a veterans' charity he started and ran barely spent any of the money it raised on veterans. Typical.

This AL.com report [[link removed]] lays out the facts:

“Tax returns from a charity founded by U.S. Senate candidate Tommy Tuberville show that in 2015 and 2016 about one-third of its spending went to the veterans’ causes the charity was set up to benefit. …Charity watchdog groups generally say at least 65% of expenses should go to the programs for which charities receive their tax-exempt status.”

In 2015 and 2016, a total of $113,280 benefitted the foundation’s army of contractors – along with Tuberville’s golf buddies – instead of our veterans.

The whole situation is made even shadier by the fact that in 2017 and 2018, Tuberville’s foundation became even less transparent in its tax reporting – ensuring it was impossible to know how much money went unaccounted for.

Time and again, Tommy Tuberville has proven he can’t be trusted with our tax dollars and can’t be expected to care about any lives and livelihoods besides his own.

Alabama deserves better. The Senate expects better. America demands better.

Friend, help Doug Jones win this race so Tommy Tuberville stays far from the U.S. Senate. Pitch in now so we can show every Alabama voter the truth. >> [[link removed]]
