Virtual Event: No Labels Youth Congress

Join us on Saturday, October 24 at 2PM ET for the next virtual session of the No Labels Youth Congress. Our Chief Strategist Ryan Clancy will lead a conversation about the transformative history of bipartisanship in America. This interactive seminar will explain how throughout history, bipartisanship has been the best and often the only way to create real, durable change and how No Labels is applying this history lesson to today. No Labels is an organization unlike any other with a theory of political change unlike any other. On the 24th, our Chief Strategist Ryan Clancy will walk you through it and answer your questions.

Five Facts on the Impact of Presidential Debates
By No Labels

"Amid the canceling of the second presidential debate, here are five facts on the impact of debates on the outcome of presidential races..."

Opinion: An independent voice in Washington
By Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA-01), Problem Solvers Caucus Vice-Chair

"It’s more important than ever that we come together to create a stronger community. Hyper-partisanship is destroying our nation. During these difficult times, it’s imperative we look to bipartisanship as a way to heal our nation and come together to find real pragmatic, commonsense solutions. Only when we seek to build bridges with those who think differently than us can we be part of the solution to heal the partisan divide."

Opinion: Reaching across the aisle to save COVID-19 relief bill
By Representatives Dusty Johnson (R-SD-At-large) and Dean Phillips (D-MN-03)

"It’s no secret that we live in historically divided times, and as faith in government wanes and cynicism about politics grows, it will be up to a new generation of leaders in Washington, both Democrats and Republicans, to restore trust and demonstrate possibility..."

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Behind Amy Coney Barrett confirmation hearings, a long escalation of political grievances over Supreme Court
By Daniel Moore

"...the clear partisanship of the moment is easy to see. But the Supreme Court fights — and Mr. Toomey’s frustrations over policy in the judicial system — are much more insidious symptoms of Congress’ dysfunction, said Ryan Clancy, chief strategist for No Labels, a Washington nonprofit founded to combat partisanship in politics.

“The root cause for a lot of this rancor over the Supreme Court is we are expecting more and more of them because Congress is doing less and less,” Mr. Clancy said. With lawmakers gridlocked for years, Congress abdicates much of its power to executive orders and judicial rulings, he said."

The New Center on Real Clear Policy: Finding the Center in America

"At this moment in American history, when the far right and far left seem to have so much influence in American politics, people often wonder: What happened to the political center?

To find the political center in America, you first need to know where to look. That’s why The New Center recently commissioned a poll from HarrisX and the Society of Presidential Pollsters to identify where the center lies for the American public on today’s most salient policy challenges..."
