Hello John,

Donald Trump proudly announced that he is blocking pandemic relief until after the election.

In Trump’s words: “I have instructed my representatives to stop negotiating until after the election when, immediately after I win, we will pass a major Stimulus Bill that focuses on hardworking Americans and Small Business.”

Tens of millions of Americans have lost their jobs since the pandemic began -- and NBC reports that as many as 35 million Americans are facing eviction at the end of this month, while the Washington Post has reported that around 40% of restaurants will close within six months without additional aid.

But Trump has never cared about helping everyday Americans. Instead of prioritizing much-needed relief, he instructed loyalist Mitch McConnell “to instead focus full time on approving my outstanding nominee to the United States Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett.”

Donald Trump will do anything he can to stay in power, and now he’s resorting to holding voters hostage to win -- threatening to provide economic relief only once he’s reelected while millions suffer from his failed coronavirus response. We know that the economy is the most important issue for registered voters and that Trump has maintained high approval ratings on the economy during the pandemic. That’s why we need to know where you stand after Trump’s decision to cut aid:

Do you approve of Donald Trump’s handling of the economy?
