The Daily Beast: “The nation’s top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci demanded that the Trump campaign refrain from using him in future campaign ads … saying that it would be ‘outrageous’ and ‘terrible’ if he was featured in another commercial and it could ‘come back to backfire’ on Team Trump.”
Dr. Fauci has been an apolitical public servant for nearly five decades -- so, it only adds insult to injury that Trump is now warping his words for political gain and publicly disparaging Dr. Fauci’s record throughout this pandemic.
But still -- Fauci persists. In response to questions about whether he would now quit the task force, he responded, “Not in my wildest freakin’ dreams.”
Listen -- Dr. Fauci’s name is being constantly dragged through the mud by Trump and the GOP, but he has resolved to do everything he can to protect us all. As Democrats, the absolute least we can do is stand with him. Please let us know you’re joining the cause:
