Friend,

The U.S. Senate is rushing to confirm Amy Coney Barrett, President Trump’s nominee who would threaten the separation of church and state, for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court.

TODAY, in partnership with our allies, we are urging church-state separation supporters all across the country to call their Senators and tell them to oppose Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Barrett’s record shows that she will likely allow religious freedom to be used as a sword to harm rather than a shield to protect, particularly against women, LGBTQ people, religious minorities, the nonreligious and others.

The separation of church and state guarantees that everyone is able to practice their religion or no religion at all, so long as they don’t harm others. Judge Barrett does not appear to respect this “do no harm” principle.

With all of us participating together, we can make sure the Senate hears our message loud and clear: the separation of church and state is on the line.

Thanks for taking a few moments to make this National Call-in Day a success.

Forward Together,

Sarah Gillooly
VP of State Outreach and Engagement
