When I was younger, I used to read the newspaper every day and feel helpless about crises happening in Canada or around the world. It’s why I started writing letters through Amnesty International’s Urgent Action Network and making periodic donations to Amnesty’s work. As I became more involved with Amnesty campaigns, I began to understand how important consistent donations were; I became a monthly donor with Amnesty a few years ago. It feels like a small thing that I can do to make a big impact.
