Yesterday, Republican leadership pulled maps out of a lottery machine after a court ordered them to redraw fair districts and today, on the morning of 9/11, of all days, they deceived members to push through their undemocratic agenda.  Deception and partisan games are sadly just another day of business for Republicans in Raleigh.

We are just four seats away from creating a tie in the State Senate.  If that happens, our next Lt. Gov. will be the tie-breaking vote, effectively deciding which party controls the chamber.  The stakes couldn’t be higher.  

The party in control after 2020 will be in charge of redistricting for the next decade and will have the power to put an end to the partisan tricks displayed today and every day under Republican leadership.

The person leading the chamber matters.  When you elect me as your Lt. Governor, I will always put people over politics.
