Labor's 321 Update – What you need to know

John,

Here's Labor's 321 Update – it's what you need to know about what's happening in politics right now and how you can help make a difference by sharing these stories, where you can.

In the past 8 days, the contrast between Morrison’s Budget and Anthony Albanese’s Budget Reply has brought the debate about Australia’s direction to life. Here’s Anthony’s Budget Reply and you can read more here.

Also this week, we ❤️  NSW ICAC and QLD's CCC as the revelations keep coming. Isn't it great when there's a strong anti-corruption watchdog on the beat? We call for a Federal version. Again.

ACT Labor has a big campaign, George is not so gorgeous, and an argument against giving business all the money.

3 social posts you'll want to see

Our socials covered Labor’s budget reply, bought to life last Friday afternoon when a number of the shadow cabinet joined supporters in a  webinar to discuss the budget and take questions. We will be doing more events like this in the coming months as we step through our vision for Australia’s recovery.

And hasn’t this week in NSW and QLD reminded us that a federal NIC is a necessity?

Wasn’t it just a “wow…” moment when Anne Ruston was sent out to defend the LNPs Budget outcomes for women? You'd laugh if it weren't so serious.

2 stories from the week

Two stories this week worth a look included some great budget analysis that questions the decision to let business run the recovery.

Secondly, ACT Labor has a big election coming up on Saturday. ACT has had a Labor government since 2001 – that's right, 19 years and hopefully more to come. Chief Minister Andrew Barr took the Libs to task for some pretty dodgy claims during the campaign. Don't you love to see it?

Best of luck to all the Labor candidates, members, and supporters!

1 insider story that you might have missed

And if this week couldn’t get more colourful, enter George Christensen's links with concerning social media groups. And we hear the usual *crickets* from the government.

Until next time,

Team Labor

P.S. John, we can’t risk a snap back to the Liberal agenda of cutting services, suppressing wages and undermining job security. Australia needs a plan for the recovery where no one is held back or left behind. We need your help to protect our society from the Liberals.  Will you chip in $5 to help stop the Liberals?
