One thing has been missing from both the Presidential and Vice Presidential debates — any talk of our immigrant communities. Tonight, Trump was directly asked about his attacks on DACA and what he would do if re-elected.
And let me tell you friend, it wasn’t good. When asked if he was going to take any action to protect our people Trump did nothing but lie, deflect, and brag about his useless wall. He chose to use his time to attack DACA, blame his xenophobic policy on the pandemic, and give no clear answer on his immigration policy.
Tonight Trump made it clear: he is going to keep attacking DACA and our immigrant communities. This election is our one and only chance to get him out of office. We have to keep fighting for a country where all immigrants and people of color can thrive.
Trump won’t take care of us so we have to take care of ourselves — and this is where you come in.

From the over 5,000 families separated as a result of his egregious immigration policies, to the immigrant women forcibly sterilized in ICE detention facilities, to the 800,000 young people put at risk of deportation as a result of Trump’s attacks on DACA, Trump’s cruelty knows no bounds. He will do everything he can to attack our communities and deport immigrants, including DACA recipients.
This is personal to me because my brother has DACA and if Trump had his way, he’d be deported. Immigrant youth organized and fought tirelessly to make DACA happen — to protect people like my brother and the millions of people just like him — and we will continue the fight to protect DACA recipients and their families no matter what.
