This weekend, we are doing something called a “dry run.”
In politics, a dry run is essentially practice – we run our full “get out the vote” program exactly as we would in the critical days before Election Day. It gives us a chance to start our outreach early while identifying gaps or sticky spots in the program before we are out of time to fix any issues.
Here’s the thing, John: Usually we only do a dry run immediately before the election, but with everything changing due to COVID-19, we have slotted in more practice time. And this means additional expenses.

We can’t leave anything off the list – that would defeat the purpose of a full-out practice run! If we are going to keep PA-08 blue, and turn the rest of Pennsylvania along with it, we need to put in the work NOW – so we can be prepared for whatever Republicans throw our way in these final weeks.
