SPRINGFIELD, MA- The city of Springfield, Massachusetts has lost sixteen police officers in the line of duty, the most recent being the shooting death of Officer Kevin Ambrose on June 4, 2012.
Prior to that, the last two officers shot and killed in the line of duty occurred on November 12, 1985 when officers Alain Beauregard and Michael Schiavina died in the line of duty. Read More.
