John, I've been disheartened with what I've seen over the past few days from Senate Republicans and President Trump.
Instead of passing another COVID-19 relief bill for families and small businesses, Republicans have prioritized ramming through a Trump-backed, anti-abortion extremist who will overturn Roe v. Wade AND the Affordable Care Act.
First, Amy Coney Barrett omitted key information in paperwork filed before her Senate hearing about her extremist stance on reproductive rights. Then, she evaded any accountability for her anti-choice stance and even refused to deem Roe v. Wade as "super-precedent."
Let me be clear, John: When Roe v. Wade is overturned by Amy Coney Barrett – not if, when – New Mexico has outdated laws on the books that make abortion illegal and performing abortions a felony. Her appointment has major and serious consequences for New Mexico families.
That's why I'm doing everything I can to fight for reproductive rights here in New Mexico – including trying to get these outdated laws taken off the books. But I urgently need to know where you stand. Tell me before 11:59 p.m. tonight:
Should we repeal outdated anti-choice laws in New Mexico?

Thanks for letting me know what you think,
