John,
Election Day is in just 19 days. And the Coalition on Human Needs is working to make sure everyone who is eligible to vote is registered and has a plan to vote.
And tonight, with dueling presidential town halls, whatever you may choose to watch, we’re providing you with two ways to volunteer to strengthen our democracy.
Option 1: Join with Vote Forward and the Coalition on Human Needs to increase civic participation by sending letters to voters in battleground states. To be the most impactful, letters must be sent to battleground states by this Saturday, October 17.
Click here to sign up for Vote Forward’s letter writing campaign. You’ll can download a packet of materials that will allow you to write directly to voters in battleground states.
We need to reach people throughout the U.S.—in personal and effective ways—to encourage them to vote for human needs. Sending a letter is a great way to accomplish exactly that!
This is how it works: Vote Forward will provide you with people to write to, the suggested format for letters, and a space for your personal comment about why voting is so important (but not to tell them who to vote for). You supply the paper, envelope, and stamps.
Many people, particularly those that do not live in a swing state, are wondering what, specifically, they can do to help in this essential election. This mail campaign is aimed at underrepresented registered voters in battleground states who may need a little encouragement to vote. By getting voters to the polls in these battleground states, we can help ensure the electorate truly reflects the priorities of communities in need across our country.
Option 2: CHN supporters are signing up to be Election Protection volunteers to ensure our democracy can function effectively. Join with them. Add your name and sign up to volunteer between now and Election Day to stop voter suppression.
Across the country voting rights volunteers, activists and lawyers are working to ensure that all voters have an equal opportunity to vote and have that vote count.
Democracy only works when people vote their priorities at the ballot box. And, together, during this historic election, we are going to unite our voices and demand the needs of the most vulnerable people are not forgotten.
The Coalition on Human Needs is working to make sure everyone who is eligible to vote has a plan to vote. Donate to CHN today to power our voter outreach efforts to ensure our democracy works for everyone—particularly underrepresented communities who are so-often left out of the policy decisions being made in Washington DC.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately:
Thank you for all you do to demand accountability from our political leaders and to fight for the needs of the vulnerable, the sick and the poor.
