The effects of COVID-19 extend beyond the obvious health concerns. In many parts of the world, it’s also contributing to a growing hunger crisis. Supply chains have been disrupted, transportation of goods have been affected and the overall health of the entire food-chain system has diminished. It’s taken a heavy toll on efforts to feed the hungry, and it’s escalating.



Farmers across the globe have their hands tied — lacking the seeds, equipment, tools and other valuable resources needed to help feed the growing population of people in critical need of food. There are 690 million people already suffering from hunger and 132 million more are now at risk due to the pandemic.
