Earlier today, I took the debate stage with our opponent to make the case for our shared values and ideas. I hope I made our movement proud.

I talked about my work to make health care more affordable, protect people with pre-existing conditions, pass legislation to help veterans, and yes, keep our communities safe from gun violence.

Sadly, my opponent could not stand up to the scrutiny and failed to defend her records. She voted with Trump 98% of the time, tried to strip away people’s health care, and defended the most extreme abortion ban in the country.

But she did not have any explanation or defense for her cruel agenda, instead, she just tried to attack me with lies and smears.

She even went so far as to call me a “one-issue activist” for trying to protect our communities from gun violence.

Yes, I’m a mom on a mission because politicians like Karen Handel refused to stand up to the gun lobby after my son was murdered.

These kinds of attacks and smears are just what Georgians have come to expect from a 12-time candidate like Karen Handel.

But it’s clear she’s going to double down on these lies in the final three weeks. That’s why it’s up to us to make sure voters know the truth and reject her at the ballot box once again.
