In a world first, the ice has been turned blue at the Motorpoint Arena. It will also bear the message: Thank You NHS inside a giant rainbow heart.
The blue arena ice opens to the public and is available to skate on from Friday 16 October.
The blue ice-skating experience at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham can be pre-booked now
1,000 free skating tickets available for NHS and social care workers on the day as a special thank you. NHS and social care workers can obtain free tickets for themselves and three friends/family members for skating on Friday 16 October. Pre-book via the Motorpoint Arena website and choose ‘NHS/Social Care Worker’ in the drop down during the booking process. ID badges must be shown upon entry to the venue.

Following social distancing guidelines, you will be provided with your own pre-spaced deckchairs so you can sit back and enjoy the film safely.

This year for the first time the park and formal gardens at Wollaton Hall & Deer Park are being transformed into an enchanting multisensory spectacle with a trail of discovery through magical lands designed to captivate visitors of all ages. A seasonal classic with a contemporary twist, and a first for Nottingham.
Nominate a Shining Star - Event organisers are looking for special someone to be guest of honour and light up the brand new illumination experience on Friday 27 November and be the first to marvel at the enchanting light spectacle.
Nominate someone who has lit up your day and added a bit of sparkle in your life. Or maybe someone who has been through tough times and deserves a unique treat.
The winner will turn on the lights at Wollaton Hall, officially declaring the trail open. They will also receive entry tickets for four.

This year's festival, will be delivering a blend of events, mixing a small number of live events with an online programme.
Themes will touch on the importance of poetic education, rebel against the notion that poetry is optional, and showcase the contemporary voices speaking now.
One of the poets appearing is Bafta nominated International prize winning writer Lemn Sissay MBE. He was the first poet commissioned to write for the London Olympics and wrote the official poem for the FA Cup.

Newark Showground
The UK’s newest music festival will be launched at Newark Showground next summer.
Unlocked Fest is a three day music festival which will combine well-known headliners with top DJs and tribute acts from the 90s onwards, as well as funfairs, silent discos, artisan food and drink, and a host of camping options.
Headliners for the event include The Feeling, Craig Charles and Ministry of Sound Classical, with other performers such as 5ive, Space, Republica and Sonique also booked.
Launch tickets can be booked now, with the opportunity of either one payment or a monthly payment plan.

Motorpoint Arena
Super-fans will be all set for Strictly's return on Saturday night but as a result of Covid-19 restrictions, and to keep everyone safe, the 2021 arena tour will not go ahead.
Tickets for the 2022 arena tour will be available this year and go on general sale on Friday at 10am.
2022 will see the return of a host of the celebs and professional dancers from the BBC One TV series waltzing around the country, performing 33 shows in some of the UK’s biggest arenas.
