Over the last 18 months I’ve been privileged to work with some amazing people, including you, and tens of thousands of other Brexit Party supporters who have made the continuing story of our party so remarkable.

One of those people is former MEP for the North East, John Tennant, who has written his first book “Rebooting Brexit”, a short story of how The Brexit Party came about, the trials it went through and the political battles that took place leading to the infamous December General Election, culminating with that famous moment Nigel Farage made his last ever speech to the European Parliament.

This story is important because, even during these difficult Covid-19 days, Brexit is slowly being stolen from those who actually made it a reality. Without Nigel Farage, without The Brexit Party, without your support and hard work; there was every possibility that Brexit may well not have happened.

The brief history of The Brexit Party is based around our determination to ensure that democracy was upheld. As our minds turn to the future, we must never forget that we shaped our country’s destiny; that is already part of our legacy. 

This book is about just that, the legacy of The Brexit Party’s efforts to hold the Government of the day to account—Parliament too—in the shape of the General Election. 

It is easy to forget what took place, to allow it to become the past. However, it should be remembered that it was not the establishment, nor Parliament, that “made Brexit happen”, it was the people and The Brexit Party sweeping the board in the European Elections that forced those in power to re-think their position and their strategy.
