Hi John!

As you head back to school, I want to make sure you know about GLSEN's Ally Week, this year from September 23-27, when all members of the school can show solidarity with their LGBTQ educators, students, and families by amplifying what they need to feel safer and more welcome in school. At a time where messages of hate and exclusion are ever-present in the media, we know how critical it can be to start the school year with positive, affirming messages that promote inclusion, affirmation, and love.
 
Everyone should register for Ally Week and support LGBTQ students in taking the lead! We need to have conversations about what allyship looks like — and to begin the school year with actionable steps for allies to take in order to show up for their LGBTQ friends, colleagues, and families. 
 
Registrants receive free streaming of classroom documentaries from our partners at Groundspark and the first 2,000 also receive merchandise, like stickers, buttons, and temporary tattoos, to help you celebrate LGBTQ identity in your school. Once you register, you'll receive planning guides, organizing tips, and more!
