John,

TODAY is the first day of in-person Early Voting in North Carolina! NC’s One-Stop Early Voting period is Thursday, Oct. 15 – Saturday, Oct. 31. We expect many voters to use early voting this year – maybe more than ever before! – in order to avoid the long lines on November 3rd.

Can you help us reach more NC voters to make sure they have a plan and know how to vote? Sign up here to volunteer!

Why is Early Voting a great option in North Carolina?

  • You can early vote at any early voting site in your county. This is usually not your election day voting site. To find out where you can go to early vote and the hours, check out this great website from Democracy NC.
  • You can register to vote at the early voting site right before you vote during Early Voting. You can also correct any errors on your registration at that time. IMPORTANT: Same-day voter registration is ONLY possible during Early Voting, NOT on Election Day (November 3rd).
  • If you received an absentee ballot by mail but want to deliver it in person, you can take it to an election official at an early voting site when that site is open for voting. Ballots will be stored securely and delivered to the County Board of Elections for processing.
  • Social distancing will be easier during Early Voting than on Election Day. For your safety and the safety of others, we urge you to vote early, either by mail or during Early Voting. If you have a flexible schedule, weekdays during the daytime tend to be slower than evenings and weekends.

You do not need to show a photo ID to vote in North Carolina. If you aren’t registered and want to do same-day registration, the Board of Elections list of accepted documents to prove NC residency is here.

Please share this information with everyone you know in NC!

Want to help other NC voters? If you have 1 hour or many this month, please consider signing up to call or text other NC voters. People are more likely to vote when they have a specific plan. By calling with us, you can really make a difference in this election by increasing the number of people voting.

Together we can make a difference!

PS - We are hosting a virtual phone bank on Saturday from 3pm-6pm. We will be using Thru Talk which is an auto dialer and can make between 200-300 calls/hour! It only connects you when a person answers. Reply back to this email for more information ([email protected]).
