Dear John,
Thank you for your support in the fight to end Alzheimer's disease. Advocacy is one of our most powerful tools to fight for the needs and rights of those impacted by this devastating disease and support those living with Alzheimer's. And today, I urge you to make your voice heard in support of the more than 5 million people living with Alzheimer's in the United States.

Did you know that people who receive dementia-specific care planning, such as learning about medical and non-medical treatments, see a positive impact? Such planning results in:
  • Fewer stays in a hospital.
  • Fewer unexpected, stressful and costly emergency room visits.
  • Better medication management.
Unfortunately, too many clinicians and patients are not aware of this benefit or of the tools and resources available. That's why the Alzheimer's Association® worked with bipartisan Congressional champions on the Improving HOPE for Alzheimer's Act (S. 880/H.R. 1873). The bill will increase education and outreach to clinicians and caregivers about Alzheimer's and dementia care planning services available through Medicare.

As a member of our community, will you raise your voice in support of this critical legislation by signing our petition today?

Act Now

When Alzheimer's disease unexpectedly enters your life, you are faced with enough uphill battles to overcome. We can't allow the health care system to fail those living with dementia.

Specifically, this bill will educate clinicians on available care planning services and care planning billing codes, and report on the barriers to individuals receiving these services. This is something we can all agree will make a positive difference. But Congress needs to hear from you to ensure it passes.

Please add your voice to ours. Speak out today.

Act Now

Taking action is easy and will only take a few moments — we've provided sample language for you to use.

I hope you'll join with us today.

Sincerely,

John Funderburk
