18 years ago today, our nation was viciously attacked without provocation by radical Islamic terrorists. 2,977 innocent lives were lost, and countless families were torn apart. Fathers, mothers, and children never came home.

We promised on that day that we would never forget, and so their memory lives on in our hearts and the very fabric of this nation.
