But… no pressure
It's hard to watch.

If you've been following Judge Amy Coney Barrett's Senate hearing this week, you've probably noticed on Roe v. Wade and abortion access, she refused to answer. On marriage equality, she refused to answer. On the Affordable Care Act, she refused to answer. Her ultra-conservative cheerleaders claim they don't know how she'd decide on these cases crucial to our rights and health care — but we do because she told us:

She signed an advertisement that called Roe v. Wade "barbaric."

She suggested marriage equality wasn't up to the court to decide.

According to her, the dissenting justices who would've ruled to strike down an important part of the ACA had "the better of the legal argument"

You're angry, and you should be. People across the country are voting RIGHT NOW. Yet Senate Republicans are forcing through a nominee with views dangerously out of touch with those of most Americans, when they should clearly focus on helping people deal with this pandemic and economic crisis by passing COVID-19 relief. This seat should not be filled until after the inauguration.

This is the people's seat, not the administration's — but only if we claim it. Raise your voice before these hearings end and tell your senators NO VOTE until inauguration »

This is it. Every action we take, dollar we give, and friend we talk to counts ten-fold from now until the inauguration.

It's up to you now to pressure senators to stop this illegitimate process. Your voice matters, so make sure they hear it »

So, be angry, be outraged, but please don't be silent.
Fed up and fired up,
