Although local elections are officially non-partisan, party affiliation is a strong indicator as to how a candidate will govern. We have seen an increase in Tarrant County Democrat involvement in local elections, and the Tarrant County GOP is now taking an active role in informing fellow Republicans about who is running in our municipal and school board races. Below is a link to a brief voting history of local candidates to help you cast your ballot. This data is based on the candidate’s primary election participation dating back to 2010. For those candidates who have voted in both party’s primaries, we have listed the most recent first. For example, if they voted in the 2020 Republican Primary but the 2014 Democrat Primary, we have listed the Republican history first and vice versa. We strongly urge you to research the candidates when voting in any election. Feel free to share this list with your friends and neighbors - let's make sure Republicans turn out in big numbers in Tarrant County for this year's local elections! Because of COVID, these elections have been postponed from May to this general election. With no more straight ticket voting, it is more important than ever to vote all the way down the ballot. So please leave yourself ample time when going to the polls to vote the whole ballot, including these very important races. See your local candidates here! Find your sample ballot! Volunteer! Donate!
