Last week I wrote to you with a warning about Trump's plot to steal the election by throwing the vote to the House of Representatives. Today I'm writing to you with an update: Trump has bragged to his own supporters about using this plan to win -- which is why it's all the more critical that we make sure he can't.

Trump recently told rallygoers that "we have an advantage if [the election goes] back to Congress -- does everyone understand that? I think it's 26 to 22 or something because it's counted one vote per state, so we actually have an advantage. Oh, they're going to be thrilled to hear that."

The president is right: Republicans command a majority of state delegations in the House of Representatives. That means if Trump is able to contest the election until January 6, the date set by law for the results of a presidential election to be certified, his allies in GOP House districts could hand him the presidency.

Nancy Pelosi herself is now scrambling to cover the Democratic blind side, urging Americans for their help with a simple strategy: "achieve that majority of delegations or keep the Republicans from doing so."

That sounds like a plan to us.

But the University of Virginia's Center for Politics has analyzed the House races that will determine the 50 state delegations in 2021. 26 lean Republican. 20 lean Democratic. Four are up for grabs.

That means we must not only protect the 20 delegations that lean our way, we must seal every single one of the toss-ups -- AND flip two Republican delegations -- if we want to get a 26-vote majority and lock Donald Trump out of the presidency.

Progressive Majority is going into overdrive, sending cash, resources, and support to exactly the races we need to win. This is an effort unlike anything I've ever been a part of, friend. We'll need a small miracle to succeed -- but I'm feeling good about our odds, because we've got you.
