The hypocrisy and biased attacks the Jewish state faces at the UNGA is an outrage Friend of Israel.
Time and again, this meeting has turned into a parade of leaders -- including dictators from countries with abhorrent human rights records – singling out and delegitimizing the Jewish state.
PA President Mahmoud Abbas used the UN stage to accuse Israel of “terror against [Palestinian] people, our land and our holy sites,” while saluting Palestinian terrorists as "honorable martyrs and courageous prisoners.”
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani used his moment at the UN to call Israel a “rogue Zionist regime,” “apartheid,” and the “greatest threat to regional and global peace and stability.”
The anti-Israel actions are also seen in UN sub-committees, which continue to devote an inordinate amount of time to condemning the Jewish state.
Over the years, more resolutions have been passed condemning Israel than all resolutions condemning genocide, warfare, and human rights violations worldwide.
As many in the international community continue to show they care more about hating Israel than addressing world issues, our work to ensure strong American support for Israel is all the more vital.
But American support for Israel will not simply happen. We have to advocate for it, cultivate allies, and work closely with lawmakers in Congress.
