I have some exciting news -- last night, Newsday endorsed our campaign, and I wanted you to be among the first to see.

The Stony Brook University chemistry professor is a scientist. And she’s running against an incumbent, Lee Zeldin, who twists himself like a strand of DNA trying to support a president who does not believe in science — to the detriment of the nation.”
I’m grateful and honored to have the support of one of the most trusted news sources on Long Island, and this is yet another testament to the strength of our campaign and message to oust Zeldin this November.
On this campaign, we’re fighting to ensure every American has access to high-quality, affordable health care that covers expensive medical emergencies like the coronavirus, but unfortunately, Zeldin has voted against the ACA fifteen times since he took office.
Even after Donald Trump came down with the virus himself, Zeldin and his allies in Congress have continued to downplay the severity of this virus and overlook the challenges families are facing each day.
In November, we can defeat Lee Zeldin and put a scientist in Congress who will fight to strengthen our public health infrastructure, but I cannot do this without you. Zeldin has special interests and Trump-ally donors in his corner -- and from our calculations, we expect his campaign and these far-right groups to spend MILLIONS over the next 20 days to stop us from flipping NY-01 red to blue.
Zeldin is way out of step with the needs of our community. And as the editorial board stated, "... whatever tendencies Zeldin does harbor toward moderation are outweighed by his reckless amplification of some of Trump’s worst paranoia."
In Congress, you can count on me to make decisions and write policies based on facts, science, and research. Together, we will ensure that families in Suffolk County and across the country have access to high quality, affordable health care. But right now, we still need to raise $31,800 more.
