Our community knows how history will remember the Trump administration: a hate-filled cohort that has ripped us from our families abroad and brought this country to the brink of war with Iran more than once. At every turn, Trump and his hawkish allies in the Republican Senate have targeted our communities, our loved one, and made us all less safe. But it doesn't stop there.
Amidst Iran's renewed struggle against COVID-19, the administration last week imposed yet another wave of sanctions hampering the country's ability to access humanitarian aid. And just last Friday, Trump took to the airwaves and sent a chilling message to Iran : "If you f--- around with us, if you do something bad to us, we are going to do things to you that have never been done before." This type of erratic, unstable leadership is hardly what our country, or our world, needs.
