Rolling Stone has reported that, with just 20 days left until Election Day, Donald Trump has failed to provide any concrete policy plans for his potential second term -- focusing instead on his baseless conspiracy theories for Democrats stealing the election.
Meanwhile, Joe Biden seems to be holding his lead in key states. A CNN polling analysis found that Biden is leading Donald Trump by at least five points in a number of states Trump won in 2016, giving him an advantage in electoral votes.
But state polls showed similar trends in favor of Hillary Clinton in 2016, when millions of voters stayed home and Trump’s so-called “silent majority” handed him four years in power. And USA Today is now reporting that the GOP’s voter suppression tactics in key states could prevent electoral outcomes from reflecting recent polls.
Our actions in the next 20 days will determine the outcome of this election -- and these trends show that there is still room for Trump to pull ahead and win as he did in 2016, especially with his growing attempts to preemptively undermine the election results and recruit an “Army for Trump” to intimidate voters at the polls.
